It’s about time for a Sisters party!
Saturday, February 17th, the Sisters in Sound and ‘ohana will take over Lotus Soundbar. It’s Chinese New Year, and we can think of no better way to bring luck and prosperity in 2007 than with female djs, hot tunes, and several hundred of our closest friends. Can you?
All the way from San Francisco, DJ Zita will be returning! And with her, she’s bringing her partner on the decks, Dmadness. Together Zita and Dmadness hold down U.N.I.T.Y. every second Friday at Duplex in San Francisco. Their unique blend of “soul, funk, disco, electro, afrobeat, soulful house, roots&culture, dancehall, and classic jams from past and future eras” will be sure to keep the heads bobbin’ and booties shakin’! And you know SIS is all about the booty shakin…
Our brothers on the decks, DJ K-ing (Freeform Sound Collective, Lotus Soundbar), Monkey (Electrolyfe), and Seeko (Direct Descendants, W) will be on hand to bring some funk and flavor of their own. It’s been too long since Seeko has played at an SIS party and we’re very excited to have him back.
We’re also very excited about the venue for this party. Lotus Soundbar is a brand new space which opened in December. Thanks to the musical guidance of Ramyt and Paul Shih, it’s shaping up to be the most exciting new spot for solid music in Waikiki. With three rooms of rhythm and a great bar staff, Lotus also has three floors of space to dance, meet new friends, and catch up with old ones. This space definitely has that “it” factor. If you haven’t seen it yet, the SIS party could be the excuse you’ve been waiting for!
For more info or to find out how to get on the guestlist, drop us an email. If you haven’t already, subscribe to our mailing list for updates on this and other SIS events. We’d love to keep in touch with you.
Much Love,
SIS
